I literally said in my last sentence that they aren't the only act in wrestling that's corny. Other acts in wrestling get called corny, but there's no need to defend Hit Row in acting like they aren't just because they have a unique gimmick.

Yes, the New Day is corny, but even they'd tell you that and they aren't pretending to be cool. Even someone like R Truth and John Cena knows that their act is corny, but at least they aren't on social media out here taking themselves too serious which is the same criticism that people give other wrestlers.

I don’t know what’s going on with social media. My post was made based off what I see on tv. And I think some people are acting like they deserved to be fired.

I think they will be over and add depth to the tag division. That’s all that matters , and even though they aren’t “cool” I like their gimmick. They are trying to sound like today’s rappers which most of them are corny

Social media is apart of a wrestlers gimmick these days, so it’s something that shouldn’t be downplayed.

Also, no one in here saying that they deserved to get fired just because their act in corny. One doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the other because as I say once again, they aren’t the only corny gimmick in wrestling.

im happy they got their job back they didn't deserve to be did the way they were but I gotta admit top dolla kinda does too much swerve being there and being the leader kinda overshadowed that but with top dolla pretty much being the main guy now its gonna be more prevalent, hopefully he can tone it down a bit

Honestly, I don't even think the gimmick is corny. I like it. They were just getting way too egotistical on Twitter. How Vince fired them all was still whack though. Ironically, I hope it humbled them a tad bit but Top Dolla been tweeting non stop since the return. Mans is truly his own biggest fan lol. I appreciate the confidence but can also state how insufferable the nikka comes across sometimes lol

It’s a double edged sword, tbh. You gotta believe in yourself for other people to but on the flip side, it’s a real slippery slope when it comes to having an ego like that. Many people been deavored for just that reason.

I like what HHH is doing so far, he just has to make sure he remembers what era made him a star and why it worked. You can't go full NXT and have a bunch of workrate matches with indie darlings on the main roster.

Black & Gold NXT was the exact opposite of his "Me & my friend Mark" promo years ago

The reason NXT is forever capped in viewership is because it's geared towards the smark/neckbeard crowd. HHH knows what a star looks like and he's gotten a couple to the main roster(mainly the women), but he veered too far towards the indie style and that hurt NXT overall.

Top Dolla was always the star of the group. He has the spark mentally. Sadly, Vince didn't see it for them but Triple H did.

I posted Swerve's take on Hit Row from the AEW podcast earlier in the thread, and he basically said the same thing. He thinks they got too much too soon given their experience.

That's the thing, Swerve was never the leader. When they were all together before Dolla & Fab did a lot of the talking. I get people that say Dolla needs to tone it down a bit, but I don't want him to tone it down too much. The one thing they need to get rid of is having the beat play while they're talking.

Hit Row probably had the worst firing of every one of those recent releases. They were brought up to the main roster in the middle of a pretty hot feud with Santos and his homies, had vignettes, debuted on the main roster, and were let go like two weeks later.
