just visit on your phone and make sure you're not using "the coli" theme

we're well aware. thanks for telling us yet again :upsetfavre:

This is my first time online since the "upgrade", and I'm having some problems

I always surf the internet through a VPN, and ever since you "upgraded" this site, I can no longer surf the site, without the message board getting all "jumbled up" after looking at more than two threads. I never had any problems until you guys started "upgrading" the site.

The funny smiles is what made the old site great. The design of this "upgraded" site, takes away from the effect of the smiles. Can't you just go back to the old site. :snoop:

The fact that people have to "adjust" to the new coli, shows that the "upgrade" wasn't a good idea. The whole reason why the coli, was able to take visitors from SOHH, because it was a seamless transition from SOHH.

Thanks...

not sure what you mean by "jumbled up" so i cant help you there unless you provide more detail

if you were only on the old site for the "smiles" then thats a pretty narrow scope. we have two themes with the same exact colors as the old site so i dont really see how the "smiles" could be less effective. the only real change in the post area is the avatar and username moving to the side of the post and thats something that we'll probably be able to change not too far down the road

the fact that we were able to take visitors from sohh is a testament to how staying stagnant on the internet is not a good idea. we weren't going to mortgage our future by staying loyal to a piece of software that is quickly becoming obsolete and unsupported.

By jumbled up, I mean the text from peoples post are all over the place, and I can't see any of the graphics that are on the site. After I view more than 2 threads, the site turns into .txt format, with no graphics or header, and the text is all over the place. And also, I can't see the button that directs me to the last post in a thread. I always have to start from the beginning, then go all the way to the last post.

All of the post happens more when I'm logged out, and going around the message board. The site behaves a little bit better when I'm logged in, and posting. (Just a little bit better.)

As far as quickly coming obsolete, :heh:

The largest sites on the internet still use Vbulletin, and they're not running from Vbulletin.

These are the top ten message boards on the internet, that still use Vbulletin without any problems. :snoop:

As of 30 April 2013, the largest web forums running vBulletin are (by number of posts):[40]

  1. Offtopic.com
  2. Something Awful
  3. Forocoches
  4. PB Nation
  5. Bodybuilding.com
  6. Fan Forum
  7. SkyscraperCity
  8. Two Plus Two
  9. NeoGAF
You should use the sites above, that are more successful than the coli, as an model of how to run your site. Why not have just posted a thread in each section of the coli, asking the people, if the "upgrade", was necessary, instead of just forcing it on us. SMH

Anyways, Good Luck.

I'm very disappointed in the "upgrade". The site is all fukked up now, with a horrible layout, and a inconsistent user experience......Peace

Well, obviously I want help with it....

I been using the same VPN for years, and don't have any problems with any other site when I'm on the internet. Nor did I have any problems with the old coli.......SO :manny:

@bk,
Don't know if it's been adressed but I have problems with long quotes (take a look here), seems like it's restricted to a certain number of lines and the lines above that number can't be read. And it only does that with OG Coli Blue and OG Coli Night themes which seems not to have the "click to expand" feature.
So I opened Firebug and I erased the max-height property (set at 340px) of the ".bbCodeQuote .quoteContainer .quote" class (in double at line 153 and 194 of the .css file), and that displayed the whole quote.
So if you can't implement the "click to expand" feature, maybe you can erase that property in the .css file... :manny:
