Weird all Drake albums sound better at least 2yrs post release date. Why?

Don't agree at all tbh.

I revisited Scorpion out of curiosity the other day and it sounded dated af like it's in a 2018 time loop and it's a chore to listen to front to back.

CLB I felt was half a snoozefest and half decent sounding Take Care era sounding tracks and that opinion hasn't changed.

Her Loss actually was an album I thought was dope when it first dropped but it started losing its luster for me some months later.

And FATD was DOA for me, minus a few songs and the Scary Hours 3 deluxe.

Honestly Nevermind probably aged the best out of all the modern Drake projects and I feel its aged better than all his projects from the last 6 years.

That said, I do feel people were too harsh on Views and it was only seen as "mid" relative to his 2015 run. But Views has aged pretty fine over time. Even Budden said that.

Sometimes they just highlight a period of your life, that either you loved at the time, and get to relive again through listening, or you didn't realize you would love so much later on.

For most Drake fans/listeners, me, for sure, his music has spanned our entire early 20's to late 30's.

Club nights to Hold On We're Going Home in 2013

Club nights to Over in 2010

Me being heartbroken over some girl and playing Paris Morton Music over and over LOL 2018

College graduation night playing Best I Ever Had 2009

Driving around after my friends girl left him playing Furthest Thing 2013

In Barcelona night club, One Dance Tory Lanez remix 2016

It's because trying to listen to them when they come out is usually a slog. Them shyts are too long. Later on, it's easier to break it down into more digestible pieces.

Production yes, he got blessed by some crazy production his entire career

Lyrics, fukk no :dahell: they already aged poorly just from a maturity standpoint, now it's even worse

when you factor in all of the nonsense he's been exposed for, and how blatantly fake his rapping accent was, it's crazy that everyone let him talk like that for so long.

shyt is unlistenable now :scust: even remixes by my favorite producers don't hit

:dahell: the hell are you talking about, the question is literally how do we personally feel about the music

The lyrics already aged bad, now it's worse

The production is fire and sounds even more fire

No . The question is simple: how you like the music then vs me listening to it now. Is the same for everyone? But your sht got a lot of personal attacks which has nothing to do with the music.
