Shade 45’s Weekend Work recently sat with Hassan Johnson aka “Wee-Bey” from HBO series The Wire. Discussing the famed role and then some, the actor cleared up rumors about the alleged film adaptation that’s in

“I’ll tell you, if it’s true or whatever idea of [a film] it is, I don’t know anything about it,” Johnson said.

Recalling a conversation with Michael K. Williams, who played stick up artist “Omar,” Johnson feels like there were too many nuanced characters in the series to create a film that does story justice.

Unless it comes out of Simon's mouth, there's ZERO chance of this. Why would anyone want more Wire? It ended perfectly and is the greatest show ever made.

Only hood nikkas that don't understand what the wire was truly about, any real wire fan knows that its best to leave it the way it is.
