My step brother used to be a producer and Told me this story about meeting Webbie through MySpace. We were teenagers of course. We from Atlanta, but my brother played nothing but Boosie and Webbie everyday. He messages Webbie to check out his beats. He was dope. Webbie said he liked his beats and asked him if he “get down”. My brother didn’t know what he meant and just said yea. (I saw the original message as well) They arrange a meeting and the next day a couple hours before, he gets contacted by one of Webbie people asking if he still wanna “get down” . My bruh finally asked him what he meant. Dude told him if you want Webbie to give you a shot you gotta give it up.

I remember my brother being really depressed for like a month, and he finally told me why, cuz he had to of course say no to that shyt. But cuz that happened he never got his break into the industry. I used to think he was making up a lie to save face. But I see now it’s probably true.
