As someone who’s a big fan of mixtape 50, the extra polished production and style of songs on that album really wasn’t it for me. There were a few songs that had the essence of real 50 like Heat and Back Down. But a lot of songs felt very “Aftermath-ish”

Those signature generic “ShadyAftermath” bodybuilding type beats were bad during that time.


I like 50, but just not a fan of his studio albums. The Massacre was another top heavy album. The good songs were really strong, but the bad songs were really bad. There’s was no In between.

I guess it’s viewed as a classic because of impact, but there’s really a lot of weak songs.

There’s so many bad songs on this it’s like take your pick.
