so I was on Facebook and I saw a picture of a little black girl looking into a mirror and her reflection was of an Egyptian queen. This post was made on a pro black fb page but I saw a lot of laugh reactions to the image.
I looked at the comments and they were full of white people and hispanics saying "we wuz kangs"
and disproving the presence of black people in Egypt.
It was actually alarming, not surprised at the reaction but alarmed at how many people were saying this phrase and had ready made memes that made fun of black people who believed in a black Egyptian presence.
I also saw this in the comments on the black panther trailer on YouTube.
This weird and irrational anger that surrounds even a semblance of black people having any superiority throughout history is incredible. It's to a point where I wonder if white people really do have an innate inferiority complex. Why does a black presence in Egypt (or having superior kingdoms) make them so angry especially if they don't even believe it to be true.
