np. I get ur point too.. at the end of the day we still have local level problems and issues in the community that need attention. This shouldn’t make us too complacent and lose sight of that. But i think the pride is in seeing this is not just another symbolic victory and nothing happens as a result.

BET is nothing but a shell of its former self. No one takes that seriously. They’re as done as those after hours, bet at night music videos they used to show at 1;00 in the morning, back in the day.
World Star ... yeah, that’s another problem. But look at the demographic it “serves” and people who get off on that shyt. (Teenagers who think that’s the wave and brain dead adults who thrive off fukkery) People who are informed and enlightened are not going on there. The Root made themselves targets and we had names, contacts, key executives, writers etc. With world star being a public platform anybody and everybody can post a vid; which lets them use the same tired excuse that “it’s what the public wants” . economics 101- supply and demand. If people do the same thing- don’t fuk with it.. they would be gone too. I.e, look at OWN, there was no demand for that and it’s a throway station but it still exists for a certain type of crowd. For the moist and shea butters, along with older generation fans who think Steve Harvey is gospel to them.

Well I was speaking on things that started Black owned and transfered to not being Black owned.
Now if I go into Love And Hip Hop or all the ratchet shyt Black people post on Twitter and Facebook we still dealing with a monster. Twitter and Facebook are a gazillion times more popular then The Root and the ratchetness postd for likes and retweets aint stopping no time soon.
