We visited Ralph Lauren's soon-to-close flagship Polo store and saw why the brand is struggling

The brand is bland and looks like its for the conservatis cac. Which it is. People are becoming more relax in terms of clothing now. And millenials are looking at price even more.

Me personally, I only own 1 polo. And its not even from Ralph Lauren. Its from the brand Frank & Oak :wow:. Which is basically a younger, fresher jcrew with better designs and more playful.

Polos are uncomfortable to me tbh, give me a buttondown instead

7mile to SE & Uptown!
There's a polo outlet store around here I used to EAT :banderas:
Polos for $25-$30 I used to look like Dro :win:

But black people will clown you for polo now for being 'cheap' nikkas want gucci and all that other ish now
In the D??? :dahell: only people I don't see REALLY fukking with Polo here are the 15-21 youngins' Detroit will ALWAYS be a Polo city. Problem is nobody wants their overpriced shyt. Strictly just the Small logo shirts, tees, socks, underwear, hats boots and boat shoes. People can say what they want but if you buy REAL Polo gear their quality shyts on any of H&M, zara etc...like I said in the other thread, you just got to know where to shop. The online RL site be having MAJOR deals. :yeshrug:

Of course the ATL
It's an interesting problem. The price point issues compared to Uniqlo, Zara, H&M isn't relevant IMO because RL is a luxury brand, those others aren't. You don't expect to pay Gucci, YSL, Prada prices for American Eagle, H&M products. RL is more expensive but it's better quality merchandise. One advantage that those smaller brands I listed have is that they have a shorter turnaround in the production of their goods that allows them to be more "on trend" with the latest style than a bigger corporation like RL has.

With that said, RL does need to do more to update its look so that it can appeal to Millennials, the quality of the brand is still great but it is boring. It needs bolder, more exciting collections and color storys...id also advise them to pull back on where RL is sold because like many of y'all said you can find it anywhere, MK had to do this same thing

I only cop from them when they have those crazy discounts, other than that, nah. It's hard to compete when their are much cheaper options available.
