Those are two tough losses for Carolina. It’s going to be hard to come back from that.
Carolina has the same issue every year: not enough punch. They need an explosive scorer or someone who can carry the load when they really need some offense. They're the only team left without at least one guy capable of doing that.

If they want to get over the hump, they need to splurge on a star.

You could argue they already have that guy in Svechnikov. He's just injured and not coming back.

Meh, below a point per game like everybody else on their roster. He's not the answer.

Of the final four, Vegas is probably most similar but Eichel's more talented than anybody on Carolina.

The Stars have Robertson and Hintz has been on a tear in the playoffs. Panthers have Tkachuk and Barkov.

Canes don't have anybody on that level; closest is Aho and he's not really an explosive scorer.

Getting Cooley back for another year is huge for Minnesota. They lost a lot with Faber and Knies leaving, but Jimmy Snuggerud and Cooley are a heck of foundation to rebuild on.

the way the panthers are playing they might literally win the cup and then do the bruins/leafs really look like failures?
This could turn out to be like when the Kings beat the Canucks when Vancouver won the President's Trophy. LA won the Cup that year and two years later with a WCF in between the titles.

Dallas completely blew that game with that dumb ass turnover that led to the Eichel goal. I still think they ultimately take the serious but Jesus man.
