He was the motherfukker. Just wish we'd got Jake the Snake earlier, so we'd been able to keep Shanahan when he has the best recruiting operation still. We had a lull, and got Cutler and Plummer too late. Cutler, with a running back, would've fit well with Denver's blocking scheme.

Bowlen just couldn't keep Shanahan when he lost too many seasons for the continued salary and investment. But when he first started believing in Shanahan and Elway, we were dangerous. Wish Elway could've stayed for the 3peat.

If Peyton gets comfortable through the stretch, and understands he can be a game manager and not the Whole Fukking Show and still win, Broncos are Super Bowl threats with that D.

I know I disagreed the beginning of the season..I'm drinking the Kool Aid now. The Pats are still the favorites, followed by Bengals in AFC, but Broncs aren't that far behind. Pats style just matches up better to any AFC team right now. You need stellar safety play for that kind of offense.
