We need a big body to teach the youngster and favors can't stay healthy so he's no help
A Kendrick Perkins type player would help
They need to call Noah, the biggest issue is a big. Gentry has Ingram and Melli guarding Dwight and he scored 3 straight baskets. Melli is pretty pathetic, I thought he could be another Niko but he has a slow release and plays no D

Why Gentry even here brehs? He ain't winning us no games, not against tanking teams, not against contenders. He ain't running no visionary offense; tell me one single, halfway decent play he drew up that entire last hour to take and secure the lead in a close game. He CERTAINLY ain't coaching or emphasizing no damn defense. He ain't even developing the youngins; Jax only got playing time because every other frontcourt player is out with injury and now that Jah's back he's happy to let bottom feeders drop 110+ on us nightly watching him and Meli get cooked ENDLESSLY with no recourse. NAW makes one rookie mistake or shoots a shot not even half as dumb or ill-advised as the ones Jrue and JJ been chucking since game 1 and he's banished to the bench with no return in sight. What the fukk these bum ass clowns in the local and hell even national media getting paid for if nobody gonna call him and the organization and owner securing his paycheck out for this inexcusable bullshyt????? :snoop::mindblown::scust::demonic::pacspit::pacspit::camby::fire::fire::fire:

Negativity (Kayfabe)
He did a decent job vs Adams but eventually it was going to come back to bite..the bigger issue is Gentry's gameplan on the offensive end, his best play is to allow Redikk to shoot contested fadeaways:snoop:
Give the young bul a shot he's gonna tip toe up the court and not guard on switches

Another game another 4th quarter drop :francis:
Gentry the GOAT stealth tanker.

Since we benched NAW in the Portland game. We've been 1-4.

So.... We are losing games and shock our 1st round pick for nothing.

They let Trey Young shoot through his rookie wall and it worked. And he had a horrendous November and December

Gentry is a hack. If you gonna stunt the development of your AD trade assets. You better win games than try to turn old ass Moore at 30+.

Dude is legit confused out chea I think he doesn't know how to coach anymore and player development isn't his strong suit
Ummm... It's worse than that. He doesn't develop players. He has to be handed elite talented players to succeed.

Who would y’all like to see as the next coach brothers?:ohhh:

Finding a good coach is tough. It's probably the most difficult decision with a young team, because elite talented teams carry a coach. They don't sprout up from the NCAA. They are hidden gems. Hiding as assistant coaches/ development coaches not college coaches. The next great coach are usually unknowns that really have to grind to get a chance.

You can watch the story behind Nick Nurse. It's beyond difficult for unknowns to breakthrough into the coaching ranks.

So, I'm not jealous of Griffin right now. He got a tough one. Especially, when coaching talent seems extremely top heavy in the league.

We are so young. So, we desperately need a good coach to develop our guys and completely change the culture.

I hear Becky Hammon being a name, but hyped up coaching prospects tend to bust a lot of the time. So, I'm not sure. Coaching isn't as transparent in basketball as in football for fans to diagnose.

I'm glad we got Griff, Langdon, and Cash.

I don't know maybe Jerry Stackhouse or Jay Wright if we could get him. We need a coach that's good with player development since we got all the young talent. Gentry ain't it though and honestly I don't want to see him leave the organization I just don't want him as HC

I've wanted Stackhouse ever since he won D-League CotY with the 905 Raptors, but I've been reading recently that he's also been a mentor/uncle figure to Ingram from all the way back when he was in elementary school in Kinston so now I think it's all but obvious who would be the logical choice to succeed Gentry:

All in the Kinston Family | Los Angeles Lakers

Unfortunately he signed for 6 damn years with Vanderbilt in April (which is when we SHOULD'VE canned Gentry's ass with how we were already cleaning house at that point) so I don't how big of a check you'd need to cash to get him up outta there now :snoop: I've also always believed Monty deserved a second chance with how dirty the old regime did him in 2015... of course that ship has now sailed past us in time and in the standings too. :mjcry: Feel like if Griff ever grows the balls to finally relieve him of his duties he'll be transitioned into a cushy front office role instead of straight up being kicked out (which I'm fine with cause by all accounts Gentry is a great person... just not a great head coach at this point :francis:) and Finch will be given a chance to take the reigns in his stead. I don't think we would've been able to keep him on the staff when other teams have been calling to interview him for the past 2 years, with us DENYING them the chance to do so, if there wasn't some under the table arrangement for him to take over if and whenever they finally decided it was time to move on from Alvin. But I'm still pretty convinced they're gonna use the injury excuses to keep him at least another unnecessary year when Zion hits the ground running in January and covers up at least some of his messes sadly. Guess we'll see soon enough :lupe:

What can't be stated enough that we love Gentry as he is such great person and personality. He may not be a good coach, but a lot of dishard fans want to see him moved up to a FO job.

We need great basketball minds in the organization as anyone. I feel like that is one of our greatest shortcoming when Benson got the team.

With Gentry getting close to retirement, i hope he takes a lateral move to helping the FO.

Gentry did a lot of good things for this franchise that don't show up W/L column. Just because we are frustrated, It doesn't mean we are out for blood. I just think the game has passed Gentry by and letting him finish with dignity & getting the team another lottery pick to build with is a fair deal.

But just let NAW get dem minutes. No players gets better with no minutes
