As long as he keeps a few singles out a year, his booking rate can stay high and thus
. CD sales are almost worthless anyway for most artist (hardly any profit for a major label artist) and are just trojan horse marketing and promotion for other endeavours in todays business.
Thats what I was thinking but this guy must be getting these artists at an extrememly discounted rate his last album from last year had:
Chris Brown
NeYo
Drake
Wayne
Ross
Jeezy
Luda
Mary J
Fab
CeeLo
Akon
^^Those just the big name features, I mean if he not dishing out no more than 20k per person (20k being the max that would only goto nikkas like ross, drake, and wayne) I can see how the label can afford to do this
Come to think about it if he only pays Ross, drake, and Wayne about 20k and the producer(s) a collective 20k thats only 80k, the song sold 3 million copies (Im on one) so I can see how this would work, spend 100-150k to pay those big names upfront with them on the track alone it should move at least 200k to recoup unless the song is complete and utter trash but "We goin be alright if we put Drake on every hook". Aye who tryna start up a business venture
