Peak Survival has some good improvised navigation videos. Warning though, this is at best just for you to travel without going in circles and to provide a steady course. You have to practice some this shyt. If you go camping, bring a GPS a long with you in case you get lost.

Dont keep your spare water in your trunk during the summer. The chemicals from the plastic melt into your water, and you drink it. I didnt believe it till i left a plastic bottle on my car seat in 100 degree weather. It fukked up my leather.

I've been camping since I was like 10 years old. Everyone else who did it was white, pretty much, but it was invaluable. I know how to make a fire, chop wood, hunt, and generally survive various wild conditions. It's also just fun and peaceful.

Didnt start reading the SAS guides til later, but honestly, no amount of guide reading will help you unless you get out there and actually spend time in the wild.
