You intercept with a punch while they are coming in YOU fukkING MORON
watch the end of the video
This why I can't take people serious, you can knock your opponent out with an uppercut they are ducking right into when they shoot for your legs

Throwing a straight punch or hook upstairs, they can duck under a take you down

this video explains how you can counter the shoot with an uppercut, by switching your lead leg, it's not that hard of a concept to a grasp

if a boxer was fighting a wrestler he should just drill this technique because it's the only way the wrestler can get close enough to grab him is to shoot in on him

:snoop: bro... a "Boxer " is not in his gym, working on how to stop a nikka from taking him down.

U didnt have to write all that shyt.

This is why I told myself, "Mag357, dont talk fighting with these nikkaz no more. These nikka dont train. Probly havent even fought b4"

I'm not saying that's you... that's just how I feel.

Yall win tho... I'm out

Can you read bro, I said if a boxer knows he is fighting wrestler, he should prepare by drilling this technique to fight a wrestler

the guy who gym is is a Bro Boxer and Kickboxer you moron

If you are a boxer and know you fighting a wrestler you shouldn't train like you are fighting another boxer IT IS COMMON SENSE

If you know his only way to win his to go for a take down, you should drill the technique that stops it and commits to muscle memory

Styles don't win fighters, FIGHTERS DO

The fighter who prepares to win wins period, you can defeat any style if you prepare yourself to go against it

huh, the whole conversation is if a boxer was fighting in MMA you moron, why are you replying to post, you don't even read, you that lonely you just like to troll

If a boxer step foot in the cage with just his boxing skills he could still beat a grappler using this technique, and several others, if he prepares and drills the techniques

that was my point, you can't automatically say a boxer would lose in MMA because their are several ways they can win and neutralize grappling with just their boxing

its self explanatory :yeshrug:
No it's not, but ok. Many elements that have been successful in MMA fights have also been tested and proven to be effective in street fights as well. Now, can or should some be using the same TACTICS or STRATEGY one would use from either situation in the other, of course not. However, you forget that one of the earliest forms of MMA as a sport is vale tudo/luta livre which was no holds barred, no rules/anything goes bareknuckle fighting. Those were about the closest one could get to legally competing in street fights, and those also proved which arts were effective and which would get your ass stomped. South America was the home of this shyt any many Brazilian fighters have roots in it from their early days of fighting, not to mention that many fighters came from impoverished, highly dangerous corners of the world where fighting for survival was pretty much inevitable. Pretty sure they know first hand about what works in sport and what works in a street fight breh. The Gracies, for example, stayed getting tested in the streets too, biggest reason they're so known aside from competition, they earned their clout amongst killers. Matter fact, many traditional BJJ heads from that region call the American grappling and fighting scene "p*ssy" in comparison to theirs because it's so safe and watered down.

What gym taught you to do ground and pound for self defense? A name would be nice.
There's gonna be no name breh. Lot of these nikkas just pulling shyt out of their ass, that's why fight threads in TLR are so cringeworthy. All I'm seeing is for all these supposed tough guys who think they can fight, whole lot of em will be food against someone who actually can :sas2:
Same nikkas who think that 50 Cent could whoop Rampage cuz he boxed as a youth and has some muscles :laff:

I don't like MMA either, I'm against it. I just hate the stigma, it's water down and seems like it's a 'white boy' thing.

Me personally I'd find a PURE Boxing/Muay Thai/Kyokushin Karate gym and train those. Then find a Wrestling/Judo/Bjj gym 1-2 years down the line. I emphasis on pure because I feel like MMA is watered down
That's literally mma. You're mixing styles.
