Elaborate.MMA has alot flaws that'll put you in serious danger in a self defence scenario.
People give respect to boxing (as they should) saying that if you’re not training since you’re a preteen then you will never be a decent pro because that’s how early you have to start to really be proficient. What they fail to realize is that it’s the same shyt with grappling. nikkas talking about: “Oh, he won’t catch me,” “I’ve slammed nikkas in fights,” “If you have good footwork, a takedown won’t work,” not realizing that unless they’ve been grappling since they’re a kid, they won’t even understand what the wrestler is trying to do to them before it’s too late. It’s the same shyt as casuals asking why the two boxers don’t just rush each other. They don’t even understand what they don’t understand. They wont listen to you. They have some weird connections to boxing like if they were once former world champions or some shyt.
Boxing is not a complete martial art, period. It just isnt.
Now if you're fighting someone with 0 training, your boxing will demolish them... easily. But vs someone with mma training, you're food on the ground
'Going to the ground'. Putting emphasis on ground and pounding. Tackle (single and double leg) 'takedowns'.Elaborate.
Nah. Boxing won't do shyt against lower body takedowns, changing levels or if someone manages to get in and clinch up. You're helpless to any of that with no grappling knowledge.just learn how to box. You would ko one of them cacs when they leave themselves open trying to grab you.
Are you talking about wrestlers or mma fighters. Mind you They're not the same. My coach has been a pro mma fighter for 13 years. He prefers striking as do I. Sounds like you're talking about wrestlers.'Going to the ground'. Putting emphasis on ground and pounding. Tackle (single and double leg) 'takedowns'.
You do know that's only one element of MMA, right? The trick is to become well rounded and be able to hold own your standing up or on the ground. You should at least be trained in both wrestling and boxing.'Going to the ground'. Putting emphasis on ground and pounding. Tackle (single and double leg) 'takedowns'.
No you big goofy. Any martial art could be considered mma. Mma simply means mixed martial arts... As in, mixing different fighting styoes together taking the things that suit you best and discarding ones that don't work for you.MMA has alot flaws that'll put you in serious danger in a self defence scenario.
At the bolded part - Mainly MMA doctrine as it pertains to self defence. Are you talking about wrestlers or mma fighters. Mind you They're not the same. My coach has been a pro mma fighter for 13 years. He prefers striking as do I. Sounds like you're talking about wrestlers.
I agree with the principle. However, the flaws I mentioned can and has caused a lot of issues in terms of self defence situations. Btw I say this as a person with quite a bit of grappling martial arts experience. You do know that's only one element of MMA, right? The trick is to become well rounded and be able to hold own your standing up or on the ground. You should at least be trained in both wrestling and boxing.
I've taught mma Self defense classes, to women and that's not true at all. What gym do you go to that taught you that?At the bolded part - Mainly MMA doctrine as it pertains to self defence
This makes no senseMMA has alot flaws that'll put you in serious danger in a self defence scenario.
Bullshyt. They have bloodlust. If I wanted to watch MMA, I'd throw on a Worldstar fight. UFC/Bellator is trailer park shyt.
