but honestly, the last say five years, sans the obvious 45 nut gripping and Rebook deal, there's a lot of talent in the UFC

185 and under that is

I haven't tuned in like forever. I wasn't a huge fan of the sport but I always watched Anderson Silva because he was like a walking highlight reel.

You don't see boxers in MMA because THEY CAN MAKE A LIVING BOXING THEY HAVE NO REASON TO DO

MMA is nonsense, its marketed to morons like you, and nerds who got bullied, because a choke is something you can learn in an hour when something like karate takes 10 ten years of practice before you can use it in a fight lmao

That is one big reason you don’t see a lot of boxers in MMA . Boxing has better earning potential.

Another reason is Boxing has always been seen as the dominant way to fight. Alot of people grew up in the era when grabbing someone or throwing a kick during the fight was seen as a punk move.
How many people heard people say in fights stop kicking throw your hands or why you grabbing me you scared?

shyt how many of use grew up slap boxing testing our hands.

MMA, has been seen for a long time as crazy tattooed white boy shyt.

Also just because some teaches you a choke doesn’t mean that you can use it effectively. That shyt still takes a long time to learn.

If you want to learn boxing go do it.

If you want to learn Muay Thai go do it.

Same with BJJ and wrestling.

Learn your shyt practice your shyt and refine your shyt.

A Villa Straylight.
Yo i just started to really get into the muay thai/boxing shyt heavy...like what training do you do at home and how much film you watch of other boxers?
Most of my training is done at the gym. At home I watch film I'd say a few times a month. Watch Glory kick boxing. Troy Jones, Cedric Doumbe ect. At home. I'm pantomiming moves all the time. Sometimes unconsciously. At home you can do conditioning. Push ups. Sit ups stuff like that.

We? I've been doing this for going on two years. @AnotherRoute And I train at the same gym.

No. Bjj fighter will work you on the ground. Boxing is NOT enough. You need wrestling or bjj as well

So what happens when u run into a dude with a great chin, or u miss those initial punches.

shyt what of the dude u fighting shoots for a low single right off jump?

They wont listen to you. They have some weird connections to boxing like if they were once former world champions or some shyt.

Boxing is not a complete martial art, period. It just isnt.

Now if you're fighting someone with 0 training, your boxing will demolish them... easily. But vs someone with mma training, you're food on the ground

A master will always beat a jack of all trades

most people who do MMA are trash period, I mean the guy in the video was off balance while punching

MMA is something anybody can do, guys who ain't never fought in they life can go the MMA train and go compete in a short period of time

stop comparing it to boxing which takes a lot of time to master, the KO was there for the guy in the video if knew how to setup his punch

boxing is about accuracy and range control, the gave up his reach advantage and telegraphed his punch

So what do ya'll think about Tae Kwon Do?

I did it when I was younger, and want to get back into it

Depends on what you want out of it. My background before Muay Thai and Boxing was TKD and I have a 2nd degree black belt in it.

So in your mind, out of Boxing, Muay Thai, and TKD, which of the 3 was the one you liked the best?

What benefits did TKD give you?

Unless you out here trying to be a fighter to the fullest, it ain’t gone do as much for you as you THINK...

it’ll give confidence. But, in what sense? And for what?

that’s why martial discipline without a moral element corrupts the art. It just become savagery.

I stretch a lot at. I mean a whole damn lot. I made the mistake of not doing that at first and shyt I was beyond sore. Also be careful of over extension I over extended doing pad work last week fukked my elbow up.

Edit: Also run and skip rope to get that cardio up
