Real talk alot of posters on this forum want Will to fail for some reason.

I never understood the hate he gets up here sometimes.

Dude married a bad chic, puts on for his kids, slaps up paparrazzi and still goes to philly and shows love, what more do nikkas want from dude

MIB 3 was straight
Hancock was dope
I am legend was very dope

After earth was garbage.

I could see if he been releasing trash but I am Legend was hot, hancock was dope until the last 20 min or so.

If you're talking about the quality of films, how did he "fall off" -- if it's all about film quality, I would argue he was never really "on". Smith was never a huge star because he was some earth-shattering thespian. He was just a big-budget action movie star. He obviously has some great performances, but in his run on top he had just as many shytty movies as he did good ones.

I really and truly think that Will would get passed up at this point for a lot of films.

Hancock did 624 Million worldwide. Don't forget Will Smith owns part of Overbrook Entertainment so he is seeing more $$$ off his movies than the average actor. Guys like Will Smith, Clooney, Pitt, Damon don't need to be the #1 guy anymore. They have their fanbase that will support them.

or we can focus on the fact that the only reason jamie foxx got the django role was because will smith turned it down.
or that jamie foxx been taking sidekick/secondary roles in like his last 6-7 movies.

somehow will smith who's always the lead or co-lead is losing to jamie foxx who's last 6 movie roles include: playing 2nd fiddle to channing tatum, outshined by dicaprio and christopher waltz, a cameo in a documentary, a voice over job in rio, random appearance in due date. and a minor role in 'valentine's day' a romantic comedy i just now heard of.
