The right move is to trade Franz and Suggs for a high profile point guard that understands how to set the table for Paola

Not that I'm against this idea.. but if you trade Fran, it changes the whole dynamic of the Magic. Having 2 guys that are 6'9+ that can put the ball on the floor and have decent jumpers, is what puts pressure on opposing teams.

Moving both of them only saves a little over 16m off the books. Sure we can take back more since we'll be so far under the cap, but I'm assuming we're gonna be tryna bring in multiple pieces. I wonder who's gonna be available.

Plenty of 6'9 brehs in free agency that can hit jumpers more consistently than Franz...I just don't think Franz and Paola is championship level pair...So move Franz for a higher profile point guard to guide Paola..Paola and Franz ceiling is 2nd round playoff exit

Magic aren't far away but it felt like they needed a vet who can hit shots and keep things settled. I.E. someone who can accept that Paolo is the #1 around there but still has #1 spurts/games in him when the situation calls for it.

I'm not saying the Magic panicked. They're young, and it's their first game seven. Just saying, the way the game unfolded... they move on if they had somebody who could keep it calm and hit shots when the rest of the team couldn't during the third quarter.

Suggs is a starter he just should never have the ball in his hands and be tasked to make decisions. He is an elite guard defender who at times shoots well. You can have him at your one but you need creation from other spots. I think a 6'6 creator type SG is what they need.
