That Monday night game last year against the bears when he took the shotgun draw about 90 yards to the house :wow:. Was a great safety valve for Stafford. But this news isn't surprising at all. With all the college concussions he was a major risk anyway. I was hoping for the best though.

That was also the only time that play worked all year.

The D (where it's so cold)
I just remember 2 things about him, the first being he never should have been drafted with the 9th pick and the other being a fight with Dre Bly because Dre had a radio show or some Lion at the time had a show and Dre was just one it and said Ernie has a poor tackler and when it got back to Sims he wanted to fight Dre since. That's it.

He was an early Matt Millen pick, that's all you need to know really.

Something is wrong with Stafford. Sure the play calling is weird for the first three quarters of games, but Stafford is making rookie mistakes out there. His foot work is looking almost Tebow-esque, what the fukk man.

He's also trying to fit a square piece into a circle in terms of how he's targeting receivers. Calvin can catch those high balls and suspect throws...Titus Young can't; not because he sucks, he's just not tall or strong enough. It's like Stafford is so used to using that Megatron cheat code he can't function without it anymore.

Lions should be getting easy yards with their TEs and slot receivers...

And don't get me started on that defense, man. Sure they only gave up one touchdown on monday, but that secondary still getting sonned all the damn time. Especially on third down

Machine? Dude had like 5 picks which were over hyped since 3 of the 5 were right to him, if not for the Carlton Dance TD I doubt most would have guessed he did anything for the Lions. I know we are thin in the secondary (what else is new?) but I would have liked to see a receiver signed to make up for Nate before signing a secondary player who you already know has more cons than pros.

Trust, next Sunday with the Seahawks people will quickly remember why he was cut, dude either blows assignments or didn't know the assignment. Damn, and the Lions are playing great defense right now, hate to see them take a step back.

what can my lions brethren tell me about ernie sims?

He is woefully undersized to play LB. He will get trampled by linemen and never shed a block. His tackles usually involve him getting run over and the guy falling over him. He's fast though.

I'm a Lions fan but has never posted in this thread before, wats good brehs :myman:

shyt ain't looking good but i still think we can get on a win streak and make up the 2-4 hole we put ourselves in. We have gotten off to a slow start EVERY SINGLE GAME this year and haven't been able to convert hardly at all on any 3rd downs which was the total opposite last year.

Monday Nights game is the first time i can say that i was actually proud of the way our defense played as a whole and hung in their and fought., and Suh easily had his best game of the season. Even though Forte had 90 something yards on the ground, he didn't ever pick up any game changing or momentum shifting plays all night. And as dreadful as our offense was, i think that if we get at least one of those three redzone drives into the endzone, we win that game.

The lost of Burleson is huge, he was really our #2 receiver and emotional leader for our offense, i think this is a great opportunity for Ryan Broyles, though he has big play potential i watched him more than a few times at Oklahoma. I also think we are not using Titus Young to his full potential which needs to be addressed. We got pieces, just gotta learn the right way to put them together and make em work. We got 10 games to right this shyt

The Yay
Jahvid Best's career is O-V-A.

:wow:

First off it makes me proud that the Lions let Best remain on the roster so he could receive his NFL pension, that was a great gesture by them. Especially when you consider the whole Best draft pick was a gamble anyway with his history of concussions coming into the draft, you would think the Lions would cut ties ASAP on their failed experiment but the Lions take care of their own.

Despite the problems on offense the Lions were at their best when Jahvid was on the field, I hate it had to be him.
:to: my dude Jahvid was beastin for Cal :to:

The season is a wash but I pretty much agree with everything else. I think there is a gross mismanagement of talent across the board with these coaches. You see how the run game picks up when they go to the jumbo package and insert Reiff. He's already a better run blocker than everybody on the team. Why they keep trotting out these same walking false starts and holding penalties instead of giving him some real run is :mindblown:. The Scheffler vs Pettigrew situation, horrible routes for the wr's, especially in 3rd down situations, shyt just makes no damn sense.

And for the record, they were terrible in 3rd down conversions last year too.
