Depends how much time they give him to turn things around.
Baseball typically doesn't turn around quickly like it can in the NFL or NBA.
He'd have to overhaul the entire organization.

And Detroit doesn't have any star veterans that could command decent prospects in return so he'd be starting from the bottom.

He's got Riley Greene, Tarik Skubal and that's about it. People want to throw Spencer Torkelson into that prospect mix but I think he's going to have to show a hell of a lot more in 2023 to regenerate the faith he had in scouts before this season.

Scott Harris is going to need to be on the job for probably 4-6 years.

There's no way he left a quality organization like the Giants and the Bay Area to come to this dumpster fire without some type of agreement on his time frame. The cupboard is almost completely bare in Detroit so he'll have plenty of time. No one is expecting this thing to turn around in a year or two.

Hopefully, this means Hinch is gonna stay long term. This hire has his finger prints on it as well, especially after dealing with that bozo Avila
