Now I have no clue what the Mets'll do as far as what they'll do. I think this helps McNeil but it feels like they need a little more power in the lineup.
I have a feeling the Tigers threw crazy money at him.

K% over the past 4 years: 25.9% -> 27.8% -> 31.9% -> 33.6%
SwStr% over the past 4 years: 17.9% -> 18.3% ->19.1% -> 21.4%
Among qualified batters: 9th lowest BB%, lowest Contact%, 3rd highest O-Swing%

You know I've said before I liked watching him play. He's terrific defensively and a good base runner plus he has some pop. But I'm gonna die if he's striking out 175 times a year with 30 walks and a .260 average.
I hope he balls out and makes me eat my words. It just feels like another half measure by this front office instead of going all in. They don't get the benefit of the doubt with all their previous misfires.
