Either the Braves or the Mets are gonna be a 95-100 win team that will not win the division, and have to host a 3 game Wild Card series (most likely against the Padres), before going through the Dodgers in the NLDS and then the division rival in the NLCS, just to face either the Astros or Yankees in the World Series. Gotta be the toughest road in baseball playoff history.

No respect for the Cardinals or Brewers :russ: Remember 06 where the 82 win Cardinals somehow won the world series :dwillhuh: Upset the Mets in the NLCS and upset the Tigers in the World Series.

Spencer Torkelson's hitting .196 through 24 games in AAA; Riley Greene's hitting .228 on the season; every notable arm in Detroit's organization has injury problems. I don't know who worth a damn is signing up to be the next GM for this team unless Luhnow is blackballed by the rest of the league.

The Braves are 3.5 games back and Mets fans keep roasting me for saying ATL could catch them by the end of the season.
Especially after the Mets swept them 2 weeks ago.

Now the Braves took 3 out of 4 from the Mets and they play one another at the end of September -- should be interesting. The Mets have the 2nd easiest schedule remaining in the National League, though (and 3rd easiest in MLB)

Marcell Ozuna arrested for DUI last night.

I don't know what the solution is but something has to be done about this. Not that DUIs only matter when it comes to athletes but it sickens me that people continue to be so reckless by driving while under the influence when they have the money to pay someone to take them anywhere.

Maybe contracts need to be written so that DUI arrests invalidate a percentage of the money. Or maybe sports franchises need to get an agreement with Uber or something.

You hate to see these athletes putting their lives at risk -- and even worse -- putting other people's lives at risk.

I think every car should have those interlock systems and the car won't start if you're not below the limit. We got the ability to stop drunk driving we just gotta stop worrying about the people who don't want to deal with consequences. I got no sympathy for drunk drivers because they usually hurt or kill others while they survive.

I know the NFL does, I'm sure MLB probably has some program. When ruggs killed that lady in Vegas, I remember hearing that players didn't like using those services because they didn't want it getting back to the teams.

Teams need to start voiding contacts or taking back big chunks of pay checks. Suspensions aren't working to deter these behaviors
