Funny how the number 2 ranked team has 23 wins against teams with winning records, and the "number 1" team has only 22 games total against winning teams.
I know what it is, dawg.

So since I made this post on May 11, the Reds have gone from 6-24 to 23-40....a record of 17-16.The Reds are not good, but they're probably not THAT bad.
I think they finish the season 3rd or 4th in the division. Certain players have been a bit unlucky. Tyler Mahle should be better if his walks get a bit under control. Colin Moran is heating up though I don't think he's great or anything. Brandon Drury to me seems like he can be an all-star if he gets the opportunities. He's hitting the ball hard. Tyler Stephenson too, but to a lesser degree.
I'm not quite ready to say Joey Votto is finished. There are some metrics that are cause for hope. But I'll say that it does not look great.
The Reds do need to get younger though. They're the 4th oldest team in the league behind the Yankees (oldest), then the Mets and Giants.
Each of those teams can sort of buy their way into a winning record. Cinci does not have that luxury.

RIP Virgil but what the hell is this?

I feel like baseball is the hardest sport to hold onto a contender. Like you win a ship then 2 years later you battling it out in last place completely stankin up the joint
Yup like the bum ass Nats. Won a title a couple years back and they’re one of the worst teams in the league now
