It’s crazy, 1-2 years ago you would of packaged a top 5 prospect(your organization) to get him.

Agreed but look at Trout. Same caliber and now he's been left behind by Vlad Jr, Acuna, etc. Same thing could happen.

Correa's not worth $300+ mil. Think an overpay for fewer years like @THASTUNNA mentions is more reasonable (6/$210).

I'll be disgusted if they sign Baez or Story but I'd be OK with Semien.

I'm not getting my hopes up because that Rodriguez signing already lowered the bar for what to expect, imo. Why not go a little more and take a run at Robbie Ray? Someone with a lot more potential (and who's shown it) that really raises the ceiling. Instead, they give five years to a guy coming off a poor season, who might have long haul COVID and isn't an innings eater. On top of that, they gave him an opt out clause after year two, so if he does pitch well, he's gonna want a raise anyway and if he's trash, they'll still have him for three more years. Avila is so fukking inept.

Low key, if the Braves weren't cheapskates, they'd be putting themselves into dynasty territory with Correa, bringing back Freeman and adding a SP like Ray.
