He needs to go to a lefty friendly park on a trash team, rake for 3 months and get flipped for prospects. The Nelson Cruz plan
White Sox are still the perfect landing spot for him but we won’t spend the money. At this point maybe he would do a one year deal though

That's what I mean. Cruz in Baltimore had to settle for 1 year $8. He raked in Baltimore and parlayed that into 4/$57 with Seattle. Conforto may have to do that and sell those numbers and chalk up this offseason to the lockout.

To not be signed now makes me think ppl don't want to give up their draft pick and they are unsure if they want to commit the many years for it to seem worth it. A team with multiple picks or in a win now mode with a lower pick (20-30 overall pick) should be interested. I feel like Cleveland despite spending zero money probably values the draft pick more than seriously trying to contend this year even though their division is probably winnable for them.

The Rangers kinda make a lot of sense for him to sign to. They are trying to make a splash and contend and they wouldn't lose their first rounder since it's protected. Maybe a Correa type deal since he'll still be young and could still get a bigger deal. Hitter's environment and won't have that much pressure on him since there are Semien and Seager are the bigger names.

I said all this about Texas without knowing their lineup lol. A lot of these cheap teams look like they'd rather not take that gamble since they think this draft class is pretty great.

Would be wild if the Yankees signed him. They do have a deep farm so they can afford it in that sense.
