Really? I thought it was a done deal? Anyways putting a mlb team in in travel city is just dumb, ain’t nobody watching them in Vegas. The plan should of always been to build the stadium in downtown Oakland and rebuild the city like the giants did. Oakland did offer them free land but they don’t wanna pay to build it

My Pops Forever RIP
don’t the Yankees have a 220 mil payroll for 2022?? You have to stop this act of trying to sound poor

they restrict spending slightly and you’re bucketing them with the As & Reds who are selling off their rosters :dead:

you wouldn’t survive a season being a White Sox fan :skip:

Slightly?

The Yankees' issue is emblematic of the issue with baseball as a whole. The revenues have gone up so much yet the Yankee payroll by comparison has stayed the same. Mind you, I'm not one of those people who thought they shoulda paid for Correa and Freeman and everyone else, but they're not even considering signing guys anymore-- because of money, even players that made a ton of sense (Seager). It's less about what they're actually spending and what their philosophy is. They wanna be Tampa all the way down to how much they spend. The Yankees should never be on some "nah we can't sign such and such because we gotta re-sign Judge" as if they can't do both. They wanna be the smartest people in the room now. In an offseason with all these shortstops, the Yankees were drooling over Isiah Kiner-Falefa. The teams that flipped them proceeded to sign Corey Seager and Carlos Correa. As a result, this team which had a crazy young core 5 years ago has been essentially reduced to Aaron Judge (who i've been on record saying I wouldn't pay him) and now long term, the championship window won't reopen until Volpe and The Martian make their way up to The Show and who knows when that will be.

This franchise should never speak this way.

he seems like he wants to trust the process. We all know prospects can go two ways.

Minnesota has two top SS coming up in the pipeline. This 3 year deal won’t hurt them one bit

Be interesting if the Twins move Austin Martin or Royce Lewis now for Montas :lupe:

I've long said the Twins need to not hoard prospects and cash them in on proven talent every now and then. I dont think Montas and Correa make the Twins a contender in the Central, but could definitely compete for a wild card spot. Still seems likely they trade him at the deadline because the chances of Correa opting in are slim to none
