- Saturday's practice, the sixth of the spring, was thought to be a "scrimmage," but after speaking with a few people who were in attendance, it seems like it was more of a regular practice w/ some scrimmage-like team periods and maybe extra refs.
- It was a full-pads practice in the morning.
- Tyrone Swoopes took the reps with the ones in the team period. A source said he "seems like the starter." It's nothing new, just another person saying it. We're one practice away from spring ball being halfway-done and this sentiment from all directions hasn't changed.
- Shane Buechele did some nice things. Apparently he had a big passing-play with the second group that got some of the coaches and team pumped up. One person said Buechele and Swoopes were about even accuracy-wise but Swoopes' arm looks stronger.
- One person said of Jerrod Heard, "the ball's just still too wobbly" sometimes.
- The most important news of practice has to do with the OL. Starting LT Connor Williams returned to practice on Saturday. I'd mentioned in the War Room that OB was told both Williams and Tristan Nickelson would be back very soon, but the expectation was that they'd be back at some point next week. Nickelson also returned to practice on Saturday, but was held back from full participation. He still seems on pace to return sooner than later. These developments seem to show that neither of their injuries were more than small setbacks.
