Yeah the article says he rejected it already. It basically sets the floor for him.

Let the year play out on Barnes i understand the inflation of the cap got nikkas wanting alot more then their value but Barnes 4/5 option. He did good things showing defensive versatility and being able to defend bigs but 16mil even seems to much for him and he rejected that
