The whole show last night just felt like Dynamite on PEDs. Like all of those filler matches could have been gutted in favor for the meat and potatoes. Its like the event went from a PPV, Dynamite, Rampage, Dark, and fukking Slamboree all in the midst of 5 hours

That whole presentation was weird as shyt. You have Owen’s wife coming out looking like she’s at the Kentucky Derby dressed ridiculous, then you have her ramble on while the heels who won the tournaments stand around respectfully looking somber, she’s positioned in between them like she’s about to officiate their wedding. Then instead of a trophy we get even more belts, which half the AEW roster has at this point.

Can give Owen's wife a pass. She's not in the business and is there to honor Owen.

WWE isn't going to honor Owen as long as Martha Hart is alive and she (rightfully so) still has animosity towards the WWE. It's a way to promote the charity and keep Owen's name alive for this generation.

As for the tournament itself, Cole and Britt had no business winning. They don't need titles at this point, so giving them additional accolades was unnecessary. Should be for someone that needs the rub; IMO the perfect winners should have been Dante Martin and Statlander.

Owen was a heel majority of his career and won most of his accolades as a heel too, so i dont mind heels winning it as a homage,

The initial fukk up was not making The Owen a young talent specific tournament designed to make a breakout star.
The roster is full of young, hungry talented wrestlers that could've benefitted from winning a tournament like this.
Everything that happened after not doing it that way was a miss in my opinion to the format of the tournament to the people included in it to the eventual winners.

yeah it should have been Wheeler Yuta, Ricky Starks, or Jungle Boy winning that.

FFS it wasnt even a storyline. It was a tournament to celebrate Owen. Ill agree it should have been Ruby especially with Rancid there but I dont have a problem with two top heels winning a tournament for someone who was a heel for most of his most recognizable part of his career. Punk winning is a WAYYYYY bigger problem.

This tournament was a joke. The random rules for certain matches. Obvious winners each round. Just bleh but like others have said it's great to hear Owens name outside of his passing. Do better Khan man
