Man wcw gave us a lot of dope stuff. The wrestling community doesn't give wcw the props it deserves like they do with wwf and ecw.

Wcw kick started the biggest boom period in history with the biggest angle in pro wrestling history involving the biggest swerve in wrestling history.:wow:

Wcw set the trend for undefeated streaks with Goldberg`s streak as the standard :youngsabo:

Gave us two black wcw world champs AND a legendary black tag team.:banderas:

Gave us some dope theme music and was the first wrestling company that was doing the creative stage settings (even before the wwe).:ahh:

Gave us one of the best gimmick changes with crow sting.

Cruiserweight wrestling:ehh:

I can still remember the day it died like it was yesterday. I tuned into Monday night raw and saw Vince on screen and not long after shane was on the titantron. Turned from tnn to tnt and I couldn't believe it. :wow:

Looking back I never thought that wcw`s death would change the game forever. Since then the level of excitement in the wrestling world hasn't been the same.:upsetfavre:

Yeah we see what WWE has done to innovate the product since WCW went out of business. The RAW/Smackdown format has been the same for almost 20 years. They won't change shyt up until they have to
Vince and WWF would still

Personally I think Sting will die an old man barring any freak accidents or other maladies. He never really had that roided out muscle physique

nah sting was pretty roided out in the early parts of his career when he was green...as he learned how to work he started to lean out...he showed he was pretty athletic too when he did lose all that bulky muscle..dude used to fly around and do flips at times

Not only you, man. As much as I respect Bret Hart and loved Shawn Michaels if either were to die right now I wouldn't feel it as much as Sting, hell I'd even toss my fave wrestler of all time, Scott Hall into that list since he's just on a slow train of self obliteration with his substance abuse so you sorta expect to switch on the telly and see that breaking news special you've been dreading but sorta prepared for.:mjcry:

The kliq was making sure everyone ate

Wouldnt the wwf stars be considered c00ns in this scenario?

Yes, Vince is the one who should be out of business and nikkaz like Taker and Shawn helped enable Vince's megalomaniacal ass.

At least Ted Turner had the decency to stay out of shyt, but Vince is like the Jerry Jones of wrestling, he's just got to control every fukking thing.

Wait....Hulk Hogan went back to yellow and red while in wcw?

I don't remember this at all :heh:

I thought Hogan went down nwo when wcw was sold

Yeah, when the NWO turned on him, he went back to Yellow and Red to feud against Hall & Nash and them.

Best wrestling show of all-time from '96-'98.

People talk about Lucha, but we got those types of matches from Rey Mysterio, Juventud Guerrero, Eddy Guerrero, Psicosis, Konnan, and a ton of people every week.

Add in Jericho, Malenko, Benoit, Alex Wright, and those mid carders.

They were top to bottom great for 3 hours every week.

WCW was just giving any and everyone huge contracts when some of these cats you rarely if ever even saw on tv come Monday night. They must have been making an incredible profit at one point in order to give out all these huge contracts.

Not really, Ted Turner was a billionaire who did shyt like buy WCW for the hell of it and he ended up selling out his company to AOL/Time Warner, who didn't want wrestling at all.

If Ted Turner still owned his company, they'd be in business today.

It's just like TNA, where Dixie Carter's father Bob has so much money that it really doesn't matter if they lose 70 million dollars.
