EXCLUSIVE: More Classic Content Coming To WWE Network Next Week

On Monday, April 2nd, WWE Network will add a large amount of WCW Saturday Night to the service! All we can say for sure right now is that the episodes will begin in 1992 and the show will be given a separate section away from its predecessor World Championship Wrestling. While we won’t be able to confirm for sure until later in the week, it seems quite likely that this will be another extra large 100 (or more) hour upload. This would bring the show comfortably into 1994.

That first Thunder showed how dumb WCW was. They spent the first 15 minutes doing video packages and having the announcers talking to stall time because (kayfabe) they couldn't find Macho Man, who was supposed to be in the first match. Just skip to the next match then.

Later on, they spent another 20 minutes or so showing a match they just charged people for on PPV like a week earlier that was centered on who would end up with ownership of NITRO.

How hard would it have been to kick off your brand new live show with a hot match or angle like they did with Nitro 3 years earlier?
