They should have never jobbed this character out on the first go round like they did. They also should have let dustin Rhodes be seven and not change it. That float to the ring shyt was cold.
Then he ruined it with self defeatist promos worried about what happened in wwf as gold dust. Which he precipitated into low quality.

Goldust was dope af when he first debuted. Up until he added black to his attire and maybe a little while after that he was brilliant

watching this old vid of the Seven debut just bewilders me. that entrance and the look was dope.
that shyt could have been main event if, when he got into the ring, he would have done anything other than: (in his regular ass Texas voice) "cut the music. if you didn't know, I used to be goldust and goldust sucked!"

That had arguably the highest quality darkhorse appeal. Including the ability to be wwf champion given dustin rhodes was the principal worker of thr gimmick and formerly nwa's me groomed by nepotism the natural. that went beyond what the original presentation visual.
