The dragon has venom glands, which are loaded with toxins that lower blood pressure, cause massive bleeding, prevent clotting and induce shock. Rather than using bacteria as venom, the dragons use, well, venom as venom.

The bacteria is a myth.

They have serrated teeth and the venom isn’t in a single glad to the fangs like snakes but rather in a glad beneath their gum line. So they bite, rip and then drip their venom into the pray.
