In Vince's defence, I think he'll willingly admit he was wrong about wrestlers if he starts making money off them.

I know for sure he's admitted he was wrong about Cactus Jack. I believe Jim Ross had to practically beg Vince to hire Mick Foley because Vince was so convinced he would be useless and unmarketable.

Bryan told some real shyt in the doc... said a lot of dudes be in the back sittin' around wishing they don't get picked for a match cause it's so much easier to just get paid. I'm sure some of them are people that a lotta folks prob'ly think should be getting a push. That shows why maybe some of them aren't getting one. :bryan:

LMAO, you are fukking delusional.

Cena was an indy guy for years, and worked his way up. It's just Cena knows what a fukking gym looks like unlike Punk skinny fatass who looks like a racist drug dealer.

If Punk passed by me in a mall and I didn't know who he as I would look him and want to punch his punk rock ass.

They actually promoted the shyt out of it on RAW, Smackdown, and the WWE website.

Was Punk really an underdog like that though or is that just a good story to tell?

Punk did not pay a lot of the dues on the mainstage that a lot of the other cats that became world champs did before him. Maybe my memory is off, but wasn't the longest time dude went without a belt from his debut to the ECW title win? He's always been in something, maybe not the top of the card like the DVD brought out, but I don't remember Punk ever sitting in midcard hell for too long especially since as some tell it, half the company was supposed to be against him.

He was a solid 2nd tier superstar. I just don't see the big underdog thing here. Just sounds like he took WWE's standard shenanigans too much to heart

Cena spoke the truth. Most times the established wrestlers see a guy with some indy buzz and think "ok lets see what this guy has" and isnt worth the hype. The IWC as a whole are a huge hype machine and the hype is usually not as warranted to them. Of course there is some professional jealousy too but man was correct in what he said. And thats what makes a 400+ day reign as the top champion more special. Just take it as that.

I forgot all about how he lost the WHC without ever appearing on a PPV to defend it.

He initially debuted on Heat with Mickie I think against Val Venis but that was buried quick and he was put on the 2006 ECW debut in Hammerstein after alot of hype videos. NY took to him and he stayed over ever since despite some weird booking decisions like losing his first match clean to Hardcore Holly of all people.

Yes..he's been in the mix from the get go. But 2008 proved that they thought Batista and Cena were like 2 levels ahead of him. They kept having Batista lay him out and get the upper hand.
