LMFAO, you gonna find out how much of a beast legolas is....:bryan: get ready
One of the few things I remember from seeing these in the theaters is some big war where legolas and gimli were catching bodies together. I have no recollection of how that war was related to everything else.

Well that’s not much of an ending for 1. A few random orcs in the forest. But damn if killing Sean bean off at the end of season/movie 1 ain’t the move

2 and 3 are on deck for tomorrow

People find Fellowship boring but I actually think it's the best movie of the trilogy. If you've read the books it's pretty much the best possible adaptation they could've made as far as being faithful to the source material while also being a watchable movie. The 2nd and 3rd movies were more epic and entertaining but that's where they started to go overboard with the CGI and the storytelling got way more sloppy.

What I appreciate about Fellowship is how well it combined practical effects with digital effects. It still had CGI but the world felt real and lived-in due to all the practical effects that were used. Compare that to the Hobbit movies which basically feel like video games.

LOTR trilogy was ok in terms of pace.

now slow and boring is the hobbit trilogy. That was torture.

The Hobbit should've been one 3-hour movie. But WB got greedy and tried to force it into a trilogy. Doesn't make any sense because the Hobbit was basically a fun children's adventure book but they approached it like it was an epic. I don't put the blame completely on Peter Jackson because he was apparently forced into production late when Del Toro dropped out and there was a lot of behind the scenes fukkery. From what I've heard it's a miracle that he even managed to make the film on time.
