before he started working with the companies?
in the movie they show you how his mother in-law wanted him to have nothing to do with those kids, his father in-law suppose to just say fukk that and bring the kids around a nikka who is on the run for causing their mother(his daughter) to commit that? this nikka cobb wanted to see his kids on a clean slate not on some fugitive shyt.
but that's just how i interpreted the shyt
The dialog in this movie is kind of insulting. When you watch it again, you really see how hard Nolan was trying to really explain WTF was going on like a teacher speaking to a kindergardener.
never seen that scene in the movie. And if Alfred thought leo was cool why didn't the grandmother. Also it would not be that hard for Alfred to arrange for the kids to see him considering he was living in France at the time. I get it for the sake of the plot they had to do the dream thing but if you really wanted to see your kids would you continue working with criminals in hope of getting a pardon or would you just try to convince the person who is there guardian to just bring them to you. It was not as if they were not on speaking terms or anything.
two different people fam think about it he is the reason their daughter is dead would it make sense that both parents are still cool with this nikka? i think that's the part you're missing out on, personally i think the only reason her father was still cool with him was because he knew about the dream shyt too(it's not like the shyt was common knowledge) so he knew it wasn't 100% on leo...
but yea, no, he's banned from the US, his kids are with their grandmother who doesn't want him in contact with them, and you're saying "well why didn't the grandfather just take them to a different country?"
c'mon fam and i'm not even trying that hard, if you re-watch it paying attention to that stuff it's obvious that scenario wouldn't happen as smoothly as you make it seem
then the grandmother should have been a hurdle when he came back to the states.
but you have to agree the easier solution would be convincing the grandparents to bring the kids to you. Not jumping form criminal conspiracy to criminal conspiracy.
