JGL can get bodied in a dream within a dream in the beginning of the movie, but in the final heist if they died, they would go into Limbo? Was it just because of the new form of sedative they used?

It was the sedative plus the intricacies of the dream they created, remember it had three layers, the deeper you go, the harder it is to "Kick" out of the dream.

When they went into the last sequence of dreams, they used the sedative machine on multiple levels... but the machine was a figment of the last persons imagination?

yea that was basically the entire reason they had Ellen Paige play the "new architect" role
on the flipside i could see why they felt the need to do that, if they just had shyt popping off we'd have no idea wat the hell was happening
