Mandla Zulu and Cecil Motsepe
Durban - Internationally acclaimed actor Henry "Black Cat" Cele died an angry and a violent man - chained to his hospital bed.

Cele (58), who has been fighting for his life in the ICU of St Augustine's Hospital in Durban, died on Friday afternoon.

Prior to his death sources at the hospital had told City Press that Cele, who is renowned for his role as Shaka Zulu in the film Shaka, had been tied to his bed and was always drugged because of his violent behaviour.

He was also kept in an isolated ward - away from other patients.

"Everybody including patients were scared of him as he shouted and used vulgar language. Last week a nursing sister nearly got injured when Cele kicked her in the abdomen causing her to fall to the ground," a source said.

The source added that the incident occurred while the nurse was trying to help him take his medication.

Township

As his career took a nose-dive Cele retreated from his surburban home in Glenmore, South of Durban, and went back to Kwamashu township.

Neighbours said Cele, who was married to Jenny Hollander, had lost a lot of weight and had been coughing excessively.

At the time of his death he had been in hospital for two weeks.

Since he got ill his family had been closing ranks around him.

Not even his friends in the entertainment industry were allowed to visit him in the hospital.

Stop bullshytting yourself. None of Niger or Congo cultures are even similar to Zulu culture. I know what I'm.talking about because I am born and raised in Southern Africa. I have colleagues from both Ghana and Nigeria and even them will tell u that the west and east are VERY different culturally. Americans need to stay the fukk away from Southern African culture :scust:
Born and raised in SA and you just found out that the Zulu abantu/abandu/watu/bato/banu/vandu are part of the bantu (people) that traversed through the Congo rain forest and spread throughout eastern central and southern Africa.

Muthafukkas have been speaking a similar language for millenia before any of these nation states were founded, that's your similarity friend.

Restore what feeling??? I'm so over Americans attaching themselves to every African culture like leeches. None of your ancestors come from Southern African countries where Shaka Zulu lived. You couldn't relate to this shyt breh cause no culture of yours is even remotely similar

Y'all call us afric00n and shyt on us daily but when u want to feel black you attach yourselves to our unique cultures acting like u got love for us :scust:

Nah, FOH with that "restoring the feeling" shut :camby:

Don't lump all African-Americans into the same pile homie, a lot of us are proud of our culture and roots even if we don't have the benefit of knowing exactly where in Africa we came from. We feel proud when we see the history of our African ancestors and what we have achieved and built for ourselves an others. There is no shame in that. Instead of making general statements rebuke the c00ns who speak ill of Africans and vice versa, rebuke your own who want to look at us like we're any less Black.

The Niger-Congo language family is composed of Bantus as well groups from west Africa like Yoruba, Igbo, Fula and Shona.

I might be pretty ignorant on this but does shared language family = shared genetic origin? Or does it just mean shared cultural origin?

im typing this from an african country, not AFRICA!

Africans get stuck on people saying their from Africa instead of saying they are from the specific country they come from. So what? I come from North America, I could give a shyt if someone said I'm North American. Its happened and guess what? I said, yes I am North American.

Attempt to further divide our ppl more than the white man already has, brehs.

I'm African and I'm :heh: at dude trying to speak for us. We all black and connected despite where we are on the planet. If you're black and have lived in multiple continents you see how little difference there is between us. It's just a happenstance of where you currently are.

The dude feel Black Americans are different and not like him because they have cac blood in them. Funny enough, I'm certain that a few Africans born in African have cac blood in them, they just dont know it. But they will never been questioned for their blackness because they were born in Africa. I find that dumb imo.

As a kid I was :ahh: while watching Shaka Zulu and seeing all the titties. And then one of my neighbour's had a tape of the reed dance in south africa. A ton of top less girls and women making their way to the king. shyt had me :noah:

Now my boy lives in south Africa and is asking the rest of the crew to go down and chill and maybe watch reed dance.
There should be a ton of legal girls and women but it all now seems kinda pedo :lupe:
