Then you don't really like Batman. The 60s Bat series isn't true to the character at all, and thats what the Schumacher films were after

:childplease:

who the fukk are you to tell me i don't really like batman. It is a fukking fictional character.

and Nolans Batman was a dumb ass with no detective skills whatsoever. Might as well been called punhiser light. Batman is a detective but not in any of the Nolan movies was any detective work done. Burton and Schumacher have more detective work then that lazy motherfukker.

fun campy batman flick. I loved the batman theme they had used in the film. Kilmer held it down as Bruce/Bats. This is how you do it, ionno wtf they did with batman and robin.

edsit: Those deleted scenes were dope, especially Bruce in the cave.

Well thats not true, in both Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises he's looking fingerprints in the batcave/that white room at Wayne tower and more.

a lot of things that are wrong with this movie aren't really Schumacher's fault

He wanted Two-Face to be a more serious character and to play the straight man to Jim Carrey's Riddler. But apparently Tommy Lee Jones was worried that Jim Carrey was upstaging him, so he decided to play him over the top

also, that deleted scene in the cave was a crucial part of Bruce Wayne's character arc. it showed he finally got over his guilt over his parents death and realized it wasn't his fault and it adds more weight to him telling Riddler at the end that he's Batman not because he has to be but because he chooses to be.

I think Batman Returns is a better film, but as far as staying true to the character and comic books, Batman Forever is a better Batman movie.

lol at people saying its better than the Nolan films though, that's taking it a little too far...

Some prints he thought might be the Joker prints and in Dark Knight Rises it was Catwoman

:stopitslime:

did any of this evidence lead to any conclusions or helped him stopped anything that happened?

smh @ looking at fingerprints makes you a detective now.

scust @ not figuring out who was feeding Bane information.

It was a better movie than people gave it credit for. I think Schumacher achieved what he was trying to do. I wasn't crazy about Tommy Lee Jone's Two-Face, but Jim Carrey's Riddler was dope. Also Val Kilmer was a solid Bruce Wayne/Batman and I think they did a really good job with Chris O'Donell and Robin's origin. Divorce yourself from the Tim Burton movies (which were classics, imo) and it's a solid movie.

Now Batman and Robin :scusthov:

I'm not saying he's Sam Spade but it's detective work. In Nolan take Batman isn't really a detective like in some of the comics but in others he's not. It works better in the comics anyway, I've not seen many movies pull off the detective angle well because that shyt in the their heads mostly. If they let the audience figure it out visually with Batman the detective work is too simple for Batman or have him say what he's thinking and that is boring.

It's a lose-lose in the movies if you go all in detective with Batman.

Too campy for my taste and it strayed away from the darkness of batman returns which is a very dumb movie in its own right. Not too sure why returns gets a lot of love but its just as silly if not more than forever. Penguin was a terrible character in returns but forever at least kept a bit more entertaining. Still forever is one of those movies thats a hard watch for me.
