That doesn't make any sense at all. That's like if a black high school named themselves the nikkas. That would never happen. Most of the tribes don't have a problem with the word mainly because it never was a racial slur. There's a reason why this topic keeps coming and going without any changes being done. If the name really was a problem and was offensive, it would have been changed a long time ago.

In this case, they have a stereotypical "indian" as the logo and a name based off their skin color. No matter if the majority of Native Americans (which was a guess by you Im sure) take offense or not, it isnt in good taste.

The way I see it, just because they do not take offense to it doesnt mean that it is NOT in bad taste. To make a skin color a team name, then put a stereotypical figure as the logo Just bad taste all around. Thats even if the majority (which I doubt) agree with you.
