Just let the dude celebrate. It's like a kid who's been in foster care for his early childhood, but in this case like 20 years, finally gets into a real family and wakes up Christmas morning to his presents:
Redskins fans winning the division are acting like Knicks fans when they won 1 game vs. the Heat in last years playoffs.
Also, using the excuse "b-b-b-but the Native Americans don't find the name offensive!!!" to justify the term Redskins is really really stupid. I have plenty of white friends who wouldn't have any problem whatsoever, and actually would think it was lame and uncreative of me to call them "crackers," but that doesn't mean it's not offensive. Just because somebody isn't offended by something doesn't mean it's not racist.
These people were literally slaughtered and forced to walk across
THEIR LAND by Andrew Jackson to places where they were relocated to, and pretty much caged into. It should be no surprise that they are immune to simple words now, after all the pain they've gone through. But that doesn't mean that because they've unfortunately come to accept these crude remarks it's okay to continue doing so. You're an idiot if you think just because somebody thinks it's okay to say a term it automatically makes it socially correct to throw it around all the time. I wouldn't give a fukk if my friends threw slurs at me, but that doesn't make it okay out in the real world, now does it?
