Whiplash was amazing. Def not overrated. I think it was the best of 2014.

Still don't get what everyone sees in Nightcrawler:yeshrug:. Thought it was a very average film at best.

Watched those two back to back. I watched whiplash like 2 times in 3 days which is a lot for me lol.

i love nightcrawler, it has gotten better upon subsequent viewings. I just like how it's a character study of a successful sociopath, his disconnect from human emotions is what makes him efficient at his job and dealings with other humans. My biggest beef was that the movie's score/soundtrack is fukking trash

I thought Nightcrawler was the best

Whiplash was good but a band teacher slapping a drummer to help his rhythm was corny. I know it's supposed to be about the highs and lows of a teacher/pupil relationship, but still :manny:

There were a few parts like that.

No but maybe top 5. Gone Girl, Nightcrawler, Foxcatcher and Theory of Everything were better.
