Not by rappity-rappin'-ass-rapper standards, but I definitely felt like he was on his shyt and deserved respect as an MC and as the most popular artist out at the time.

But he's been phonin' it in for a good while now, all the way across the board. Got lazy as shyt after building up all that acclaim for himself. But that's what happens when a rapper gets so popular that people automatically like anything with his voice on it- it takes every bit of hunger away.

Yes. From Carter 1 through Carter III (even though the finished Carter III album was kinda shytty) Wayne definitely showed great ability on the mic. Even No Ceilings was dope to me lyrically. But everything from the Young Money album on has been garbage.
