How do you eat your own force lightning. That ending was shyt and inexcusable. Just shows how flabby and Sick Vader really was. Got a taste of some lightning and died. Luke was eating that shyt like scooby snacks. The emperor on the other hand... Cant these nikkas float to the ground or some shyt? Ending was trash.

Even in the movies when someone got hit you with Force Lightning you was fukked up Luke took multiple bursts of Sidious lightning and was still able to function almost immediately after. In a very short period of time with
little training from Yoda and Obi Won he was able to give Vader that work with the lightsaber.
Yeah Luke becomes the fukkin man in the books. Like he was pulling star destroyers outta orbit

Yes we need some mental gymnastics to make that BUllshyt ending settle down in our minds. I think it was just weak. I mean he could have punched the emperor in the kidney and threw him. Something. Stabbed him in the rib and threw him. ANYTHING then just picking him up and throwing him.

i don't know but i hope they use some of expanded universe lore. knights of the republic and the yuuzhan Vong could still work with disney's star wars.

The Emporer was hitting Luke with love taps of force lightning to torture him slowly...And I wouldn't say he was eating them like snacks, that nikka was in the fetal position crying with smoke coming out of his chest
Once Vader picked him up to toss him he probably shot him with full power...Power surges through electrical wires directly connected to your respiratory system=bad news for anybody
And Jedi/Sith can't fly....Yoda couldnt stop himself from falling and just float to the floor when he was fighting Sidious...

Sidious force lightning is crazy powerful thats why it hurt him, he also hurt himself with it when Mace redirected it at him. Luke ate that shyt because hes a fukking boss.
He couldnt float to the ground because he fell into a reactor core and exploded. The movie certainly suffered from weak writing at times though. Its like Lucas just wanted to get it over with and collect his check

i think it was meant to illustrate that the devil's power is only illusion, that in the face of god and in the face of love he is just a weak, frail nothing.
luke was right, the emperor's overconfidence was his weakness. he never considered that vader might actually challenge him which is why he couldn't even see him coming.
yea it would have been cool if vader like sliced his fukkin head off or something like that but that image of vader lifting him like a baby and just throwing him out like he was garbage speaks more volumes. at that moment vader saw the light and the devil could do nothing to him.
