Tru was torturing them nikkahs throughout that whole era sheesh
Tru Life had so many goons around him, he wasn't a 1 man army. These Latin brehs got plenty of brothers, cousins.

I remember Tru Life also had beef with Prodigy from Mobb Deep. Prodigy sold him a verse that he had sold to another rapper :pachaha:

It wasn't even just Tru Life torturing them.
Dipset and ByrdGang members were getting ran out or run down in every New York boro + Toronto and London. :mjlol:They were the opposite of diplomatic immunity.

Most down south and even west coast nikkas had no clue Dipset were food or about how lame they was in the streets. :flabbynsick: Many still don't know.

Tru Life made them all distance themselves from one another due to embarrasment. Not realizing they were next up:mjlol:.

He did seem to create an uptick in snatching chains to launch a career in New York. That was right around the time we lost Stack Bundles irrc.

Tru already had issues with Jim for making NY look bad by bringing gangbanging to the East.

Jay signing him to a good deal was icing on the cake.

I’d blame Max B for the real fall of Dipset.

He was applying pressure to Jim and anyone who had an opinion on it. JR, Rell, Gargamel, and anyone in Byrd Gang was getting checked. 2006-2009 wasn’t a good time to be a Dipset fan.
Cats were getting robbed on camera to the point nikkas doin the Lean Wit It, Rocc Wit It with chains, being punched in the eye, smacked with shovels, etc.

It don’t help that Jim had his own issues with Cam.

Jim getting on Rap City with 50 knowing that he was beefing with your friend and then having the audacity to send subliminals at 50 a couple years prior(City Of God/One Eyed Willie era Jim) wasn’t a good look.

It’s crazy how Cam let that nikka come to the verzuz instead JR, Rell, and 40.

Jim did some funny business with JoJo Capone too

P was wrong for that…

What’s worst is that his homies got stripped and beat down. If the Mobb got stripped down that day, P and Hav would have been humiliated way more in the rap world.

If I was Ty Nitty or GOD, I would have smacked P for causing them to get caught up like that.

I’m glad that Tru and P squashed it before he died

Maybe in NYC True Life made them fall back but outside of NY we wasn’t paying attention to True Life for real.

In my opinion it seemed more like the 2008 beef with 50 and G Unit kind of killed off both groups.

Then Cam’Ron went “missing” right after that for some reason.

“Where’s Cam’Ron?” :russ:

The Tru-Life talk reminded me of this track from '07.
Cali native, one time rapper & author of Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise'' felt slighted by Roberto Guzmán Rosado, Jr. when he visited LA.
