I liked it. The nostalgia of the original and not straying too far from what made it great led to big box office. The cameo from Val Kilmer was a great scene being that he’s ill and they managed to recreate his voice using AI. Tom Cruise may legit be the biggest movie star of all time.

lol look around it's out there

i’ve heard plenty of critics say it was the movie of the year ‘2022‘ which is pretty much correct
but I haven’t heard one single person critic or non-critic say it’s an all timer …. shyt most people still consider the first one made in the 80s better than this one.

:yeshrug: I don’t know breh …. I just don’t see it.

Off topic but how are Japanese people. Imo they seem like some of the nicest Asians and people in general around but still wonder how they are around us as most Asians are known to be racist as fuk towards black people.

In my experience, they are cool as f*ck. Helped me when I got lost in Shinjuku, all the workers were pleasant and patient with me, got my tatt by a Yakuza artist, when I'm in the club, the women are BAD and hella approachable. I have only had pleasant experiences whenever I go to Japan.

But the caveat is that I speak Japanese... if you don't, YMMV. I would recommend sticking to the areas that are known for a military presence if you can't speak Japanese, like Yokosuka in Kanagawa (this is a little outside of Tokyo. Maybe a 35 minute train ride?) At least there, they are used to seeing foreigners, most importantly negroes like us.

Might not want to be where you want to look for a female to date, due to them being Black foreigner crazed and hoes, but if you looking to get your dikk wet, that's EXACTLY where you want to be

Normally sequels never compare to the first one. In this case, it definitely compared. Wouldn't say it was better but it was very close.

I was in Tokyo when this movie dropped, so I went to see it in Japanese, in 4D at Toho Cinema (the one with Godzilla on the roof)

It was a surreal experience-- Japanese people DON'T SAY SHYT during a movie. They barely laughed out loud at the jokes. You could hear a tick orgasm.

I think the 4D enhanced my experience with the film for sure, cause I came out that bytch with a huge smile on my face. Loved it.

I mean I enjoyed but I wasn’t blown away by it like so many other seemed to be. It was a solid action flick 7.5/10

Very solid and barks back to radiation all action movies of the 80s and 90s without excessive BS you normally get today.

I’d give it a 9 and that’s why Mission Impossible is the most exciting film this year for me.

Sure.

TeamLab Borderless Museum in Odaiba was really nice:

Your kids will love this place. It's insane.

Obviously Disneyland in Chiba, but their Disneyland is waaaaay different than ours so it would definitely be worth checking out.

I also went to Yokohama (it's outside of Tokyo, in Kanagawa) and saw Chinatown, the Cup of Noodle Museum and the Gundamn (which is going to be torn down).

Here's my IG so you can see these places:
