The Rock is 2-0 against Hogan, which considering that Hoegan's bytch ass was politicking not to lose to anyone else in the company is pretty amazing.

He was humbled in 2002

He beat HHH somehow for his only PPv win and title win
But then he lost 3 straight PPVs including a tag loss to lance storm and christian:mjlol:
Which is almost unheard of for HoEgan
Then Lesnar destroyed him on smackdown and wrote him off for months

Then in 2003 he loses to rock again
Wrestles under a mask as mr america until vince ultimately fires him on tv

:mjlol:

I think it's because Hogan respects Rock being on that level AND having respect for his family. Plus by then Rock crossed over into mainstream so there is the business aspect of getting his name attached to that.

I wish he would've asked about Hoegan sandbagging him on the chokeslam years later

Taker is also a smart dude for taking that answer and just accepting Hoegan as a hoe. To be that young and hear some bullshyt come from a vet, man I would've been steaming

-Hoegan warns Taker all day about being safe with the tombstone cause he has a neck injury.

-Taker beats Hoegan with the tombstone on the chair Flair slides in the ring for his 1st title win. The tombstone was super safe. His knees clearly hit first, Hoegan’s head doesn’t touch the chair.

-Hoegan lays motionless for minutes and is taken out on a stretcher.

-Hoegan is laying in Vince McMahon’s office holding his neck groaning. Asks Vince to talk to his wife and kids.

-Taker drops the belt back to Hoegan 6 days later.

It was also the way to turn him face and get him another run on top. It wouldn't have made much sense for him to win and then have Hall and Nash come out and turn on him. Nor does it rarely ever make sense for the old legend to come back and beat the new top guy, especially for a one off match.

Probably did it so in turn, The Rock couldn't roast his ass on the mic because that could've led to some of the funniest one liners & impressions ever.
