Looking back at the music my uncle and brother grew up on (90s rap) It still looks cool and sounds good to me. Great vybz, the fashion everything.

Even the early 2000s crunk/snap era was a good time.

But but looking back to around 2010, this shyt I listened to when I was a teenager/early 20s fuuuuck

lol oh shyt WORD that salute on the snapback brim. everybody was saluting b. :deadmanny: then spread your legs with your arms at your side pointing at invisible objects while looking away from the camera preferably at the floor because you're disinterested in everything in the room that isn't as swaggy as you are.... then you look up at some point & you nod your head vigorously up and down at 95-105bpm sometimes even if there is no music playing because your swag is your own personal theme music

head nod visual reference = lil mama & hov at the vma's as she storms the stage and o'shea jackson jr. imposed it on his ice cube character in straight outta compton during the fukk the police performance right before nwa got arrested

The good ol’ fukking days lmaoooooo :russ::russ:

I would say Lil Zane, Ja Rule, Gorilla Zoe and Yung Joc

Zane didn't rap about shyt and was doing a pac imitation, you could say the same for Ja

Zoe and Joc were generic, ATL trap rappers but didn't seem believable and didn't have a movement behind them.
Zoe was not generic for that time

what ever happened to Kid INK?

I remember seeing him live opening for TDE back during Kendrick's rise before he was rocking full stadiums. I was glad i got to see Kendrick on a smaller stage but Kid Ink's performance def stuck out like a sore thumb because he just didnt fit at all.
Kid Ink is 35 years old now that's what happened his era is over. He still makes music but ain't no label investing in a mid 30's rapper let alone one whose career is built on pre-made manufactured hits featuring other artists. If you going do that you're better off putting that bread behind a younger artist who can attract a much bigger fanbase.

He independent now: Kid Ink Ditches RCA Records For The Independent Route
