It is a dumb thread. Even worse now that I realize you thought 'Westside' meant LA and not the entire Westcoast of California even though he was always making references about both areas. The Rodney King reference on his first album is about LA and police brutality in California since it was a problem in Oakland and LA at the time.
And don't lie like you had friends from Oakland that were worried about him glamorizing his life in LA, the guy had so many Bay Area artists on his albums and worked on theres no one was worried if he 'forgot about the Bay' Half the fukkin guest appearances on All Eyez On Me were from guys like B-Legit, C-Bo, Rappin 4 Tay, E40. None of those guys have been on a multi platinum album since.
Really? Because his first album isn't all 'african medallions and kintay clothes' its very much a gangsta rap/street album.
When he says 'westside' he isn't claiming 'Westside LA' for one. West LA isn't even a ghetto/rough area or an area anyone claims except for gay people He is claiming the Westcoast of California, from the Bay to LA. You need to get that straight.
Second, this is a dumb point. He didn't move to LA until afterwards. He moves to LA, it is a lot different than the Bay when you are a celebrity, so it was reflected in his music. Not that hard to grasp.

Yea real bandwagon shyt to move to another area and enjoy living there. How dare anyone move from one city to another and like to live there. They have to be lying right?
Again, 'westside' is in reference to the entire Westcoast, not just 'West LA' LOL @ your entire argument being based on the fact that you were thinking for the last 15 years he was talking about a 10 mile block in one of the richest parts of the entire country that is a major homosexual community.
