It is a dumb thread. Even worse now that I realize you thought 'Westside' meant LA and not the entire Westcoast of California even though he was always making references about both areas. The Rodney King reference on his first album is about LA and police brutality in California since it was a problem in Oakland and LA at the time.

And don't lie like you had friends from Oakland that were worried about him glamorizing his life in LA, the guy had so many Bay Area artists on his albums and worked on theres no one was worried if he 'forgot about the Bay' Half the fukkin guest appearances on All Eyez On Me were from guys like B-Legit, C-Bo, Rappin 4 Tay, E40. None of those guys have been on a multi platinum album since.

I always liked the narrative of it - shyt was kinda like a movie. Pac was an east coast rapper, got a bit of love/support, sold some records, even got the vice president of the US hating on him. Big moves for a former dancer. He becomes good friends with another up and coming rapper named Biggie.

One day Pac gets shot the fukk up in the same building Biggie is chilling in. Not only does Biggie not seem shocked/upset, no one comes to Pac's defense or tells him anything about the killers. Resentment grows...

Then Pac goes to jail. Meanwhile Biggie becomes the biggest rapper in the country. Plotting revenge yet helpless in jail, Pac is visited by a west coast nikka who promises him the world if he switches sides. Pac gets out of jail, moves to the west coast, and declares war on his former home coast.
